A recently renovated Shoreditch apartment puts Factorylux lighting to stylish use, including the ingress protection (IP) rated ceramic bathroom light. The apartment is available to rent on Airbnb.
The first floor apartment is in a 150 year old building in Shoreditch close to the historic Spitalfields market and was renovated by David Abrahamovitch, co-founder of Shoreditch Grind, the east London coffee bar. The fashionable area includes the Old Street 'Silicon' Roundabout, home to LastFM and Songkick.
In addition to recessed spotlights, the bathroom is lit by the Factorylux industrial-style angled bathroom light fitting with together with an IP rated galvanised cable outlet. The light fitting perfectly complements the clean functional aesthetic in the bathroom - simple white bathroom fittings and brick tiles. The Factorylux bathroom lighting range includes a similar ceramic light fitting for ceiling mounting. Both of the fittings are provided with a high-performance IP rated brass cable gland. More information about IP rating and bathroom lighting is here.
In the living area of the apartment, fixtures and fittings from the Factorylux modular lighting range are used to create bespoke lighting. A six-outlet ceiling rose is used to drop bare bulb pendant lights into the living room. The pendants are all made using Factorylux fabric cable and traditional brass bulb holders. Factorylux ceiling roses are available in a range of colours and metallic finishes, all configurable with between one and eight outlets.
All images courtesy of and copyright David Abrahamovitch and congratulations to him for creating such great lighting.
