Urban Cottage Industries Ltd takes your privacy seriously. This privacy statement explains what data we collect, how we use the data, and your rights in relation to the data.
We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All the transactional areas of our websites use SSL technology to protect the information you provide us. Some of your information may be stored or managed by trusted third parties. For example we use Freshdesk to manage customer support email and online chat. We only use third parties that comply with the GDPR to ensure your data is kept safe and we can meet our GDPR obligations to you.
Customer Data
If you make an enquiry with us or place an order, then we collect the following data: your name, billing/delivery address(es), order details, email address(es), telephone number(s) and payment card information. We may also collect other information or documentation you provide us. We collect this information so we can fulfil your order and provide you customer support.
Payments you make online or by phone are processed by PayPal and we do not keep any payment card information, electronically or on paper.
We provide some of the information you give us to the delivery services we use. This is so your order can be delivered and you can receive tracking/delivery information.
We keep the information you provide us so that we can continue to offer you customer support after you have received your order. We also keep the information in case we ever have to issue important safety information or a product recall.
Website Data
Our websites use cookies. Cookies are tiny text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. The information is used to track use of our websites and to compile statistical reports on website activity. If you have subscribed to receive emails from us, then we keep your email address to send you emails. All our marketing emails are ‘one-click’ unsubscribe. If you click ‘unsubscribe', we will not send you any further marketing emails unless you subscribe again.

We may be required to disclose your information to the police or other regulatory body when we receive a valid request to do so. We may also pass on information in connection with fraud which affects us.
If Urban Cottage Industries Ltd is sold or integrated with another business, your personal data may be transferred to the new owner.
