London based interior designer Mark Lewis values longevity and craft over trends. With the help of his team of experts, he designs everything from kitchens, bathrooms, wet-rooms and bespoke furniture, to complete house remodelling. A recent project features Factorylux wall light fittings.
Mark's recent Clissold Park home project in east London required the demolition of an existing extension and the creation of a new two storey living area comprising: kitchen, bathroom, study and living room.
The minimalist style in the kitchen was achieved using a contrasting mix of unpolished marble, textured granite and grey plaster. The ground floor is covered with 100m² of parquet flooring Mark salvaged from a primary school in Wales.
During the day, three skylights flood the kitchen with daylight, and by night a series of glass pendants and a row of four bronze Wall Light Fittings provide both ambient lighting for the room and task lighting above the work surfaces.
The wall lights are particularly suited to accent and task lighting with an adjustable elbow which allows the lamp holder to be fixed anywhere in a 90º arc. The wall light fittings are available in three finishes; bronze, silver or brass.
In addition to the range of wall and ceiling lights in metallic finishes, there are options in ceramics and Bakelite, including IP rated lights suitable for use in bathrooms and outdoors. All the Factorylux wall light fittings are tested and certified to BS EN 60598 and dispatched for safe and simple installation with instructions, fittings and fixings.
