Interior Designer Melanie Lissack chose a couple of Made For You plug in wall lights for her kitchen refurbishment.

Melanie describes herself as a "make-do-and-mend type of person, rather than a rip-it-out-and-start-again person". She chose to refurbish rather than replace her existing kitchen. All the kitchen units were originally a bright canary yellow. They were transformed using two Farrow and Ball colours - Hague Blue for the bottom units and Clunch for the top units. The transformation of the units was completed with stylish copper door knobs and draw pulls.
The colour of the units is echoed on the chimney breast around the cast iron fireplace - the upper part painted a neutral colour, and the lower Railings, again by Farrow and Ball. Melanie created two wooden brackets to support the plug in wall lights and project them from the chimney breast. The plug in pendants are both fitted with the short tube filament LED light bulbs. In addition to being attractive, the LED filament bulbs are extremely economical. Taking into account purchase price and average UK domestic electricity prices, the bulbs less than 0.1 pence per hour to run.
A key advantage of plug in wall lights over conventional wall lights is that they do not require the services of an electrician and there is no drilling, chasing, or re-wiring work.
