Factorylux pendant lights and wall lights were chosen for the kitchen light fittings for a project in Balham, south London by interior design practice Bethell Projects.
The brief for Bethell Projects was to create a smart, timeless and very user-friendly kitchen dining room, with plenty of space for the young family to grow into. The kitchen was planned to provide the maximum amount of dining and entertaining space. The kitchen units - in a strikingly attractive dark blue from Farrow & Ball - are by DeVOL kitchens. The darkness of the blue contrasts beautifully with the pale palette of materials and finishes, and is complemented by the dark metallic window frames.
The three pendant lights above the sink - placed to give the washer-up a lovely view of the garden - are made from single outlet brass ceiling roses, twisted fabric lighting cable, brass E27 lamp holders with skirts, and are fitted classic squirrel cage pear filament light bulbs.
The lights are available as components or as complete ready-to-install pendant lights created using the Factorylux Made For You bespoke pendant light service. The configuration chosen for this project costs just £57.84 for each pendant, including light bulbs, full assembly and certification to BS EN 60598, and next working day delivery. The kitchen light fittings also include the Factorylux Maria Wall lights strategically placed to provide ambient and accent lighting on the walls. The Maria Wall lights have a vintage brass finish to match the pendants and are also fitted with the pear squirrel cage filament bulbs. The simple design of the wall lights fits in perfect with the overall aesthetic.
