Factorylux enamel lamp shades and fittings were chosen for the dining room of the Michelin starred chef Tom Kerridge. Tom runs the The Hand & Flowers pub in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, the first pub to be awarded two Michelin stars.
Tom's new kitchen and dining room appeared in the 'My Kitchen' feature in the May 2013 issue of the BBC's Good Food Magazine.
When Tom and his wife Beth bought their home it needed a lot of work doing to it. Asked about the lighting, Tom said "The lights along the table are from a company called Historic Lighting . Beth really put a lot of effort into finding the right ones – industrial but also comfortable-looking. At night, the skylight is amazing and the house looks absolutely fantastic if you stand outside and look in. There are no streetlights here, so it gets very dark. The skylight becomes a mirror and the lit-up kitchen looks incredible. That was by complete mistake!"
The rebrand from Historic Lighting to Factorylux reflected a diversification into a broader range of lighting, but there's still a complete commitment to quality and authenticity.
