The organisers of Interiors 2014, the definitive event in the interior design calendar, chose Factorylux cage lighting for the VIP Bar and Seminar Theatre. The huge event with over 600 exhibitors ran at the NEC in Birmingham from 19 to 22 January 2014. 
The brightly coloured bulb guards were hung individually from the columns and over the VIP bar to create a bright contemporary look. The Seminar Theatre set a more industrial with the same style of cage, but in a retro silver finish. The Interiors 2014 team chose to complement the the bulb guards with matching ceiling furniture but boldly contrasting supply cables - bright bright blue and neon yellow fabric cable. It's not an obvious combination but it is a striking and successful one. The Interiors 2014 show focussed on British manufacturing and Factorylux lighting was the perfect choice - all the bulb cages, lamp holders and ceiling furniture are made in the UK. 
The lighting was impressive, but for us the hit of the show for us was the exhibition by Out of the Dark. Out of the Dark is a charitable social enterprise that recycles, restores and revamps salvaged furniture as a means to train, educate and employ young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. The charity is all about supporting young people achieve a better life and steer away from crime. They instill craft, DIY and work skills as well as developing self esteem and confidence. Their stand - which included a great looking hotel room - was an enormous hit and featured Factorylux silver fabric lighting cable and filament light bulbs.
